I have spent considerable time with Western States Center staff through my years as an organizer for social justice. I am always impressed by their preparedness whether it’s a site visit or a jam-packed three day training. The one thing that I truly respect about The Center is that they genuinely care about building organizations from within and giving them the tools they need to succeed. Yes, it is true they care about results and push us to achieve our goals, but they do so through the lens of long-term sustainability for our organization. They are committed to building power in the social justice community through collaboration, innovation, and action. I strongly believe that the progressive movement would be weaker and lack the focus we need without the presence of Western States Center. They are proven, trusted, and knowledgeable. I wish The Center very happy 21st and continued success for many, many decades to come!
